Weddingmoons at Sandals and Beaches Resorts
It’s no secret that Sandals Resorts are #1 for Honeymoons and Destination Weddings… but this past week I got to experience WHY this is the case. I headed out to Beaches Turks and Caicos for 3 nights for their Weddingmoon Training. During the training, we were treated like guests at a wedding! We had two different themed dinners complete with amazing live entertainment. It was truly a fantastic experience. I will do another post about the Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort but this post will be about weddings and honeymoons at Sandals and Beaches.
The first night that we were there we had a cocktail hour and reception. This reception was decorated in the theme of English Royalty and took place on the sand near Schooner’s . We definitely felt like royalty! It was absolutely stunning - from the flowers to the colors to the lighting. Absolutely everything was thought of. There were white-gloved butlers bringing passing along plenty of appetizers during the cocktail hour as well as a sit down meal. And I have to give huge props to the amazing staff who set up the entire party earlier in the day and then we had rain and they had to re-set everything up. You would NEVER have known that this happened - the staff was really on top of making sure everything was perfect! One of my favorite things about the dinner reception was the entertainment - we had a saxophonist who was really just incredible to listen to! It was the perfect music to accompany the evening.
The second day we spent in training learning ALL about how Sandals and Beaches does weddings and honeymoons. I can’t even tell you how much we learned! it was incredible!! They did have some wedding tables set up for us to view in our training room and then they gave us the option to play with the tables and create our own “customized wedding” look. I loved this activity because we all know as brides, we don’t always want a cookie cutter look. The fantastic thing about Sandals and Beaches is that they really allow you to customize your wedding to match YOUR dreams. One of the newest programs that they have is the Sandals Virtual Design Experience! I will talk more of this incredible new program below so make sure to read further!
We had a great cocktail reception by the beach that same day with a steel drum band playing. There was a cupcake bar with just a few of the different cake combinations that you can choose from when having a wedding at Sandals or Beaches - options like Brownie, Carrot, Red Velvet, Caribbean Fruit, and of course, Chocolate and Vanilla. Doesn’t that steel drum band and the ocean in the background just go hand-in-hand?!
The next day we did a resort tour and we got to view ALL of the different sites that you can hold a wedding at this particular Beaches. Sandals and Beaches are really interested in customizing your wedding so it looks exactly the way you want. There are TONS of different venues from the typical beach wedding to garden weddings to gazebo weddings to chapel weddings to poolside weddings and even over-the-water wedding chapels at some of the Sandals Resorts! The last night we had a final reception. This was on the lawn of Key West and the theming was the newest added to the group - inspired by Gold! We had a DJ as the entertainment for this event followed by a FIRE DANCER at the end on the beach (wow! What an amazing surprise!). The food was served buffet style and included so many delicious dishes to tempt all palates - including a pasta bar! We had a beer canoe and some awesome dancing. What an amazing reception it was!
